New Digital Collection: Mid-South Flood Collection

You might have heard that we are building an archive of images from this year’s flood (see links to some of the press coverage below).  Well, Ellery Ammons has been working very hard and we’ve already got some of the images online!

So far, you can view images from 1913, 1937 and 2011, but keep checking back because more will be added each week.  And, if you would like to add your images to the collection, there is still time.

Drop off at the library (or mail):
History Department – 4th Floor
Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library
3030 Poplar Avenue
Memphis, Tennessee 38111

Email (for digital images):
Flood2011.Photography@gmail.com

(If possible, please note the photographer, date and location, as well as any other pertinent details. This digital collection will become part of the library’s permanent archive.)
